My Exercise Moodiness

I started a new challenge on January 1st.  Of course I did really good the first few weeks, but I have totally fallen off with the motivation?  Why?  Why is it so hard to fire yourself up to get to the gym or go walk outside?

I was always an athletic person growing up.  In PE in school there was not another girl who was going to beat me at ANYTHING!!!  I played basketball in junior high and volleyball in high school.  Sports have always been a part of my life and I have always enjoyed watching them.  People have always been an inspiration to me how they have been able to exercise and keep their bodies fit.  My mother ran for years, kept herself fit, and always looked great!  She is an inspiration to me too!

I like to walk and I'm learning to like jogging.  I would also love to have a bike to go riding with my girls!  The girls have also mentioned how much they would like to work out with me.  Since they play soccer, I know they would have no problem keeping up with MOM!!!  They give me some motivation to get going, but I'm finding it still slow going!

Anyway, what do you do to motivate yourself?  How did you start out?  I'm up for anything and I really want to get into some 5k's!  Let's hear them!
